Please use the form below to register your interest in having work done. This will automatically add you to my waiting list. I am always extremely busy, however I will do my best to get back to you in a reasonable timeframe.
If you are interested in commissioning making a clock then, please send me a separate message.
CLOCK REPAIRS
In order to offer a straightforward and efficient service, I have developed the following protocol to give a clear presentation of the costs incurred.
Please contact me in the first instance by the email form (preferred) or by telephone to discuss your requirements.
I can then decide if I can assist with your clock repair.
During periods when I am experiencing high demand I can place you on my waiting list and contact you as soon as possible.
We can then decide whether you wish to deliver your clock to our workshop (preferred) or arrange for collection.
CLOCK DELIVERED TO THE WORKSHOP (ARRANGED APPOINTMENT)
There is no charge for the initial meeting in the workshops.
I respectfully request, because of the nature of my business, that the length of these visits are limited.
ESTIMATE.
An estimate for the repair of your clock will be prepared after a thorough examination.
For this, a non-refundable fee of £95 will be incurred (payable upfront).
Once the estimate is accepted this charge will be credited against the final invoice.
Should you wish to decline the estimate the charge is non-refundable and I would require you to collect the clock from the workshop within one month.
COLLECTIONS.
Should you be unable to deliver the clock to the workshop, arrangements can be made for collection from your address.
Visits are charged at mileage plus time to cover my time away from the workshop.
Mileage is charged at 54p/mile calculated to the nearest mile.
Time is charged in half-hour increments. Minimum charge 1 hour. This includes my travelling time. Please ask for a price for this service.
TIMINGS.
Initial email (preferred) or telephone call/message. 1 to 3 days.
Waiting List (this will vary due to the complexity of certain clocks and my availability to work on your clock).
Service Times can vary from just a few months to maybe a few years for extremely complicated clocks.
The reason for this is that I am a clockmaker working in the traditional way and many parts are manufactured by hand in-house.
