Clockmaking content on YouTube

“I am often told how interesting people find my work as it’s not something that most people get to see. As a result, I am trying to bring some of the more interesting parts of my work from my bench to your screen”

Clockmaking on Youtube

For those of you who enjoy being a fly on the workshop wall, I have a YouTube channel filled with interesting clockmaking content.

I currently chronicle restorations, explain technical details of mechanisms, touch on the history of elements of horology and I am now just about to embark on filming the entire process of designing and making a completely bespoke handmake clock with some exiting complications.

You can help and be involved.

On YouTube, you can help me really effectively and for free by simply clicking the ‘SUBSCRIBE’ button. Take it a step further by clicking the thumbs up button and even sharing videos to help spread the word.

If you are willing to help financially there is the option to offer your support through Patreon.  See here for details on how for the price of a coffee you can really help me produce great content.

Patreon support

Over the years I have built up a large collection of ideas that I would like to use in clockmaking projects. However, traditionally in order to make a bespoke clock, a client is needed in order to fund the build as a commission. Today it is possible to do things a little differently.

With the use of Patreon, a little can go a long way.

By supporting me with less than the price of a coffee each month you can help to collectively fund a clock project which gives me the ability to film and chronicle the build for your enjoyment.

For a little bit more you can also be involved in the process as VIP Patrons get a say in the design features of the clock helping me to decide on materials used, functions added and overall looks of the clock as we go along.

It also means that when the build is complete the clock will be free to exhibit for more people to see and enjoy.

As an added incentive I am planning to make a clock as a PATREON ONLY series which at the end of the build will be given away to one of my patrons. That's right, given away - free!

I am passionate about clock making and am brimming with ideas. I would love to bring you with me on the journey through the portal of YouTube, but I can only do this……
